White-necked Jacobin (Florisuga mellivora)

White-necked Jacobin
White-necked Jacobin (Florisuga mellivora) occurs in Guatemala mainly in the humid Atlantic slope lowlands below 700 m. During the northern winter, this hummingbird occurs also as rare visitor to the Pacific slope lowlands, indicating some kind of short-distance migration (Eisermann & Avendaño 2018). This immature male near Antigua Guatemala at 1800 m represents an unusual high-altitude record.
