Cedar Waxwings (Bombycilla cedrorum) with Gray Silky-Flycatchers (Ptiliogonys cinereus)

Cedar Waxwings and Gray Silky-flycatchers
Cedar Waxwings Bombycilla cedrorum do not visit Guatemala each winter. After a big influx in the winter 2020/21 with flocks of up to 800 birds, we now have smaller flocks of 15-20 birds in the forests near Antigua. They are often associated with resident Gray Silky-Flycatchers Ptiliogonys cinereus, which form large flocks outside the breeding season.

See video from the 2020/21 Cedar Waxwing influx.
